Introduction to Technology of Water Treatment  

Founded in 1975, Technology of Water Treatment  is one of the first two journals in water industry in China, which is currently led by Congjie Gao, editor-in-chief and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The journal is administered by the China National BlueStar (Group) Co., LTD., and sponsored by Hangzhou Water Treatment Technology Development Center. As a core journal of China, a key journal with good social and economic benefits, a source journal for Chinese S&T papers and citations, it has been included in Chemical Abstracts (CA) in the United States, JICST in Japan, and Cambridge Scientific Abstracts: Natural Sciences (CSA:NS) in the United States.

Over the past 40 years, a large number of authoritative, instructive, novel and practical articles has been published on Technology of Water Treatment , which has been honored by several professional journals, and is known as the "textbook of the growth in water industry". In 2011 and 2015, the journal won the first prize of the excellent newspaper in national petroleum and chemical industry; In 2012, it was awarded the fifth Outstanding Journal in East China for three times by Zhejiang Provincial Press and Publication Bureau; In 2014 and 2015, it won the special prize of Zhejiang Excellent S&T journal. From 2011 to 2016, it won the special prize of "Excellent Journal 2011-2013" and "Excellent Journal 2014-2016" of Zhejiang Science and Technology Journal Editors Association , and the seventh National Excellent Newspaper in Petroleum and Chemical Industry; In 2017, Technology of Water Treatment  won the sixth Outstanding Journal in East China; In 2020, it was once again included in the core journal of "Environmental Science" category of A Guide to the Core Journals of China of Peking University; In 2020, its column called "Summary and Review" was rated as an excellent column of periodicals in East China; In 2020, in the selection of the first Top 100 national Petroleum and chemical journals, Technology of Water Treatment  was selected into three lists: "Top 100 Petroleum and chemical Journals", "Top 40 Petroleum and Chemical Quality Journals", and "Top 20 Petroleum and Chemical Digital Journals"; In 2023, Technology of Water Treatment  once again won the top 100 industry journals (ranked 7th), top 40 quality journals (ranked 7th), and Top 60 academic journals (ranked 5th) in the second National Top 100 Petroleum and Chemical Journals. From 2022 to 2023, Technology of Water Treatment  continued to be selected into the core Chinese database of Peking University, the core database of Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China as well as Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD). In 2022, it won the Zhejiang Provincial Excellent Science and Technology Journal Award, the East China Outstanding Journal Award as well as the Science and Technology World Journal Clout Index (WJCJ) Report of Scientific and Technological Periodicals (2022). Many natural science fund projects, topics to tackle key s&t issues and other latest achievements, which are national, provincial and ministerial, have been first reported in the journal. The total citation and impact factor rank in the forefront among professional journals in the field of water treatment, making the journal with high popularity and influence in China.
