Founded in 1975, Technology of Water Treatment  is one of the first two journals in water industry in China. The journal is administered by the China National BlueStar (Group) Co., LTD., and sponsored by Hangzhou Technology of Water Treatment  Development Center. As a core journal of China, a key journal with good social and economic benefits, a source journal for Chinese S&T papers and citations, it has been included in Chemical Abstracts (CA) in the United States, JICST in Japan, and Cambridge Scientific Abstracts: Natural Sciences (CSA:NS) in the United States.

The topics include the application of membrane for water treatment technology in chemical industry, environmental protection, electronics, medicine, food, textile, metallurgy, coal, railway, electric power, military and other fields.
